Myanmar’s Internal Revenue Department (IRD) introduced an electronic filing (e-filing) system and electronic payment (e-payment) platforms to facilitate taxpayers’ pay taxes and file returns. e-Filing submissions include several types of taxes such as Specific Goods Tax (SGT), Commercial Tax (CIT), and Capital Gains Tax (PIT) return. With the development of e-payment system channels, m-Banking started to cover e-banking and mobile payment systems as well.
