Electronic invoicing has been mandatory between businesses and public authorities since 2019. Whereas there is still no regulation about business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-customer (B2C) transactions The Maltese government wants to work with Peppol network in their e-Invoicing system and they are selecting Peppol certified service providers and in this year (2022) exchanging electronic invoices via Peppol will be possible. Also, tax return filing is mandatory for all taxpayers online.
